'Ingles' Dawndew Salad is a privately owned family
business, based in the North-West of England. Since the founder,
Thomas Ingle, started growing various crops for commercial use
back in 1907 our produce has captured much of the country's
salad market. Now, having specialised in growing salad cress and
beansprouts, our crops are continuously available 365 days a year.
Brightly dressed in the company's trademark orange and green boxes
our produce is delivered and received daily and now we can supply
all our customers with a wide
range of complementary salad produce from Europe.
After relocating
to Poulton-Le-Fylde in 1990, the company now operates under an
impressive single roofed five-acre greenhouse complex. Equipped
with the most advanced technology, the organisation operates
with the greatest efficiency and the highest level of food safety,
using an environmentally friendly policy.
With customers
as far North as Aberdeen, and as far South as Plymouth, the company
has worked hard to develop and expand its own methods of distribution.
Today, our engineers are responsible for maintaining the company's
own large fleet of refrigerated wagons. This fleet gives the firm
independence when it comes to mapping its distribution
routes, giving us the flexibility to meet all our customers' needs
allowing us to provide the markets, wholesalers and caterers across
the UK with the freshest, high quality produce at the lowest
competitive price.
