Hygiene and food safety is of paramount importance to Dawndew Salad and is driven from director level throughout the organisation. Our salad ingredients are continuously monitored and operating procedures reviewed to ensure customer expectations and all the regulatory food safety standards are upheld at all times. All our products are GM Free.
In order to maintain and strive to further improve quality, hygiene and food safety, Dawndew Salad follows the principles of The Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points (HACCP) system, which in turn drives the comprehensive Quality Management System.
‘Our comprehensive Quality Management System covers all aspects of the process from the approval of suppliers and receipt of raw materials to the delivery of finished products to our customers, thereby ensuring all our crops can be traced to source. The Quality Management System is a ‘live’ system and is therefore subject to continual review and improvement to ensure its relevance is maintained at all times. Through frequent internal and external audits, our processes and procedures are constantly scrutinised to ensure we meet our customers’ expectations and requirements.

All our fresh produce is grown to The Assured Produce Standard.
Our Salad cress is licensed to promote the ‘Red Tractor’ British Farm Standard logo on our packaging.
Dawndew Salad adheres to the guidelines outlined by the British Retail Consortium, the highest level of food safety standards in the industry.
Annually, EFSIS/SAI Global, audit our procedures to confirm compliance to The BRC Global Standard for Food Safety; we currently hold a Grade A certificate against Version 5.
